Furious Chick-fil-A customer claims she was charged a bag fee

Chick-fil-A lost a loyal customer on a dime.

TikTok user Aylin Avci, who goes by @_staylina on the social media app, claimed in a recent video that she was charged a bag fee to eat at Chick-fil-A.

“I put in a mobile order for fries and a drink,” she said. “Why was I accused of the bag?”

In a two-minute clip with over 260,000 views, Avci vented her frustrations over the sudden charge for her curbside order.

“You know what’s out of control? Chick-fil-A… Count your days f-king,” she shouted. “I’m so over it.”

Avci attached an image of her receipt detailing the cost of her order and the 10-cent bag fee.

“You’re going to start looking at your bills. Try and see if you are being charged for your bags,” she suggested.

Although upset, the Philadelphia, Pennsylvania resident understands why stores charge for brown bags, but she’s confused about fast food restaurants.

“This is food; what should I do… walk away holding him?” she sighed.

Chick-fil-A has not yet responded to The Post’s request for comment.

Another woman from Pennsylvania experienced the same brown bag haul as Avci.

“I’m in PA too and have been charged bag fees in many places and when I go to NJ I have to pay for a paper bag,” she captioned the video.

Another asked: “Do they ask if you want a bag, or do they just add $$$?”

Avci replied: “They didn’t ask him, they just added him.”

STILL, according to Upper Merion Township, a county in Pennsylvania, they don’t have to ask because the fee is allowed as of January 1, 2024.

Retail establishments can provide compatible paper and reusable bags for a fee of at least $0.10 per bag. However, the bag fee must be listed separately on the invoice.

Establishments were required to post signage warning customers of the baggage fee until July 1, 2024, but after that, it is no longer necessary.

Despite her lack of awareness, Avci continued her ramblings about what other changes to expect from Chick-fil-A.

“What’s next? You’re going to charge me for the fry pan, you’re going to charge me for the fries, you’re going to charge me to park in your parking lot?” she asked.

The self-proclaimed “loyal Chick-fil-A eater” even called out the brand on claims that they changed their reward system.

“A few years ago, you guys changed your in-app rewards program,” she said. “Now I need 100 years of the king just to earn a free drink.”

Many former CFA customers shared their complaints about the company.

“Chick-fil-A has gotten too expensive and the quality has gone down,” one person commented.

“It hasn’t been the same for me and it’s very expensive. We took Bare nuggets and waffle fries from Costco home!” wrote another.

“It’s like $65+ to feed me, my husband and our three kids at CFA, and I don’t even eat a meal; I only get a sandwich like restaurant money, not fast food money,” one observer quipped.
